Placebo makes a defiant return to music with a new song titled “Beautiful James”. A song that seeks to normalize and celebrate non-heteronormative relationships in song.
Iconic Brit Rock band Placebo has returned to music with a new single “Beautiful James”. The track is the band’s first new music in five years. Placebo also announced they’ve been in the studio with more new music on the way including an 8th studio album. The follow-up to the band's 2013 album ‘Loud Like Love’. “Beautiful James” is a highly poignant track in a time when cutting through the mire by way of emotions and art can feel quite heavy. A band known for consistently venturing forward through sound, and in a statement. Yet at the core, the heart of Placebo will always remain. Sonically, they create dimension, twinkling bright synths, and varied textures in thrashing guitars all cut through. But, it's Frontman Brian Molko's distinctive voice carrying the track with emotion and storytelling. Molko says speaking of the song; “Beautiful James" is not a polemic or even a conversation. It is a statement - one that is as clear and bold as they have ever made.
